How to get to Granite Bay, Noosa National Park?

From the middle of Hastings Street in Noosa Heads, Granite Bay is a 3km walk. The route goes along Park Road, then the Noosa Coastal Boardwalk from Little Cove to the Noosa National Park entrance.

Keep going along the highly popular Noosa coastal walk towards Sunshine Beach and you’ll pass the Boiling Pot Lookout, Tea Tree Bay and the Dolphin Point Lookout.

Granite Bay Beach is the one on the eastern side of the Dolphin Point Lookout. Access is via a set of stairs.

Is it safe to swim at Granite Bay Beach?

Granite Bay Beach doesn’t get the same sort of attention that other Noosa beaches get, largely because it’s mostly boulders at high tide. It becomes sandy at low tide, however.

In terms of swimming, Granite Bay Beach in Noosa National Park is not patrolled by surf lifesavers. Any swimming is done at your own risk.

The beach is moderately hazardous for swimming, but it is far more popular with surfers. The main break is by the headland at the eastern side of Granite Bay Beach.
