Little Cove, Noosa, is a beach that gets overshadowed somewhat. After all, the famous Sunshine Coast resort town has some epic beaches. Noosa Main Beach is one of the most popular in Queensland, Sunshine Beach is great for surfers and Teewah Beach on the Noosa North Shore is home to 4WD adventurers.

Where is Little Cove, Noosa?
Little Cove Beach is the next beach east of Noosa Main Beach. It’s often mistakenly regarded as being part of Noosa National Park, but it’s not quite within the park boundaries. Little Cove is along Park Road, just before the national park entrance. Generally the first stop on a walk in the national park proper on the way to Sunshine Beach is the Boiling Pot Lookout.
Swimming and surfing at Little Cove, Noosa
As the name suggests, Little Cove is small. It’s about 100 metres long, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in looks. There are a few beach houses behind it, but it’s mainly steep, wooded slopes.
Little Cove Beach is relatively safe for swimming – you don’t tend to encounter many rips here. But surfers are likely to be disappointed as waves don’t get very high at the beach itself. Johnson Point at the western end, however, sometimes provides a point break – known to the surfing community as Johnsons.
