- By Car: The museum is on the A4037 between Tipton and Dudley. From M5 Junction 2: take A4123, then A4037 Tipton Road; or from M6 Junction 10 via the Black Country Route and Birmingham New Road. Turn into Discovery Way, follow to roundabout then right into car park.
- Rail: The nearest train station is Tipton Station (on the Birmingham-Wolverhampton line), about 1 mile away.
- Bus: Several bus routes stop outside the Museum including route 229 (Bilston-Dudley via Coseley, etc.), and route 11 (Walsall-Dudley via Wednesbury) operated by National Express West Midlands.
- Cycle routes: The Museum is on the National Cycle Network and accessible via West Midlands Cycle Routes (Routes 5 & 54) and the Birmingham-Wolverhampton Cycle Route.

- Parking tokens must be purchased at the Visitor Centre. Have cash or card ready.
- Blue Badge free parking is **subject to availability**, so early arrival is recommended for disabled parking users.
- Overflow car parks are used on busy days; you may be directed to these, possibly a slightly longer walk.
- Parking is at vehicle owner’s risk. The Museum is not liable for damage, theft or accidents in parking areas.
- Allow plenty of time to explore – the site is 29 acres and many visitors spend 4 to 5 hours there.
