The Teeling Tasting Tour costs €20 per person and includes the guided tour, a tasting of the Teeling Small Batch whiskey, and a handcrafted seasonal cocktail. A non-alcoholic version of this experience is available — request it at reception on arrival. This is the entry-level option and the only tour with a non-alcoholic alternative.

The Trinity Tasting Tour costs €25 per person and includes the guided tour plus 20ml tasting measures of three whiskeys: the Small Batch, Single Grain, and Single Malt. This covers the full core Teeling range.

The Distillery Select Tasting Tour costs €35 per person and includes the guided tour plus four whiskeys: the Small Batch, Single Malt, Blackpitts Peated Single Malt, and Single Pot Still. This is intended for visitors with a closer interest in the full Teeling portfolio.

The Bottle Your Own Experience costs €165 per person and is a private experience limited to 12 people, running at 2 pm on weekdays and at 11 am or 2 pm on Saturdays. It includes a private distillery tour, a tasting of distillery exclusive whiskeys, and filling a 70cl bottle directly from the cask to take home. Book via [email protected].

Children under 10 are admitted free of charge. Those aged 10–17 pay €10 for a child ticket — this cannot be booked online and must be arranged by contacting the reservations team directly. The Go City Dublin Pass is accepted and covers a guided tour with one whiskey tasting and one cocktail; upgraded tasting options can be purchased on arrival. Vouchers, passes, and gift cards cannot be redeemed through the online booking system — contact reservations to book with these.

Booking in advance is strongly recommended, as tour spaces are limited and frequently sell out, particularly at weekends.

How to get to Teeling Whiskey Distillery

Teeling Whiskey Distillery is located in the Liberties, approximately a 20-minute walk from Dublin city centre and a 5-minute walk from Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. The closest Dublin Bus stop is on St Luke’s Avenue, served by routes 151, 27, 56a, and 77a. The nearest Luas stops are Harcourt Street and St Stephen’s Green on the green line, both approximately a 19-minute walk from the distillery. The nearest DART station is Tara Street, approximately a 30-minute walk. All three of Dublin’s hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus services — DoDublin, Big Bus Tours, and City Sightseeing — stop directly at or close to the distillery. From Trinity College Dublin, the distillery is approximately 1.7 km on foot — around 21 minutes, passing Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral, and St Patrick’s Cathedral on the way.

Parking at Teeling Whiskey Distillery

There is no dedicated car park at Teeling Whiskey Distillery. A limited number of pay-and-display street parking spaces are available directly outside the distillery on Newmarket, along with a limited number of spaces specifically designated for coaches. Additional street parking is available in the surrounding Liberties neighbourhood. Given the central location and the volume of whiskey consumed on most tours, public transport is strongly recommended.

How long to spend at Teeling Whiskey Distillery

The guided distillery tour, including the tasting, lasts approximately 45 minutes. The distillery recommends allowing at least one hour for your visit in total, including time to arrive, check in, and browse the gift shop or visit the Bang Bang Bar after the tour. Visitors who add time in the bar or café should allow 1.5 to 2 hours. The Bottle Your Own Experience runs for approximately one hour.

Accessibility at Teeling Whiskey Distillery

Teeling Whiskey Distillery is fully wheelchair accessible, with a small detour required in one section of the tour route through the production floor. The Bang Bang Bar and Gift Shop are accessed via a lift. The Phoenix Café is located on the ground floor of the building and requires no lift access. A short video plays at the beginning of every guided tour which contains flashing images — notify staff in advance if this is a concern. The production floor can be loud and warm at times, which may be uncomfortable for visitors with sensory sensitivities. The Phoenix Café on the ground floor is dog friendly; guide dogs are welcome throughout the building. All other dogs are not permitted on the tour or in upstairs areas. Visitors with specific accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact the reservations team in advance.

Inside Teeling Whiskey Distillery: what to see and do

All three standard tour experiences begin with the same fully guided distillery tour led by a Teeling Whiskey Ambassador. Tours run in English every 20 minutes throughout the day. An audio guide app — requiring no download, simply scan a QR code on arrival — is available in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Mandarin for non-English speaking visitors. Visitors must bring their own headphones to use the audio guide.

The tour moves through the working distillery floor, where visitors see and hear the full whiskey-making process in operation — from the mashing and fermentation vessels through to the copper pot stills where distillation takes place. Teeling uses a combination of pot still and column distillation to produce its range, and guides explain the significance of triple distillation in the Irish whiskey tradition. The tour covers the history of the Teeling family’s connection to Dublin whiskey dating to 1782, the closure of Irish distilleries in the 20th century, and the opening of this site in 2015.

After the production floor, the tour concludes in a dedicated tasting room where guests are seated at a communal table and receive their whiskey samples — the exact expressions depending on the ticket tier chosen. All Teeling whiskeys are bottled at 46% ABV and are non-chill filtered.

The Bang Bang Bar is a full cocktail bar open to all visitors without a tour ticket, Monday to Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm, and Sunday from 12:30 pm to 7 pm. It serves the complete Teeling portfolio alongside a menu of handcrafted whiskey cocktails. Guided tastings at the bar may be available during quieter periods, though these cannot be guaranteed and written tasting notes are offered as an alternative.

The Phoenix Café serves food, Cloud Picker Coffee, and Wall & Keogh teas on the ground floor. No tour ticket is required. It is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and on weekends and bank holidays from 10 am to 6 pm.

The gift shop opens daily from 12 pm to 7 pm and stocks the full Teeling whiskey range including expressions available only at the distillery, branded merchandise, and personalised bottles. The Distillery Exclusive Whiskey can be personalised with a name, date, or message on the label, available in-store or to order online. A fill-your-own-label option is also available in the shop separately from the Bottle Your Own tour experience.

Ad hoc special tasting events are held periodically at the distillery, including master distiller sessions and single cask releases. These are announced on the official website and social media platforms.
