As any visitor who has spent much time in Europe will know, Monday is an awful day to explore a city. Mondays are when many museums and attractions shut, theoretically to give staff a day off, but mainly because it is tradition.
However, Oslo in Norway isn’t as bad as many major European cities for closing down on Mondays. Several key attractions are still open, as listed below. For the others, plan to visit on a different day.

Ibsen Museum & Theatre – Located in Ibsen’s former residence with guided tours. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in winter (Oct–Apr). See opening times and book tickets
