How to get to Fort Siloso
To reach Fort Siloso, visitors should first travel to Sentosa Island via the Sentosa Express monorail, public bus, or the Sentosa Boardwalk. Once on the island, take the free Sentosa Beach Shuttle and alight at the Siloso Point stop, which is located at the base of the fort.
Alternatively, visitors can use the Singapore Cable Car (Mount Faber Line) and alight at the Sentosa Station, then transfer to the Sentosa Line to reach the Siloso Point Station. The Skywalk entrance is located immediately adjacent to the cable car station and the bus stop.
Parking at Fort Siloso
There is no public car park located directly at the entrance of Fort Siloso. The most convenient parking facility is the Beach Station Car Park, which is a large, paid underground parking area.
From the Beach Station Car Park, visitors must board the free Sentosa Beach Shuttle to reach the Siloso Point stop. There are also smaller paid car parks located at various points along Siloso Beach, though these often reach capacity during weekends.
How long to spend at Fort Siloso
A typical visit to Fort Siloso takes between 1.5 and 2 hours. This provides enough time to walk across the Skywalk, tour the Surrender Chambers, and explore the various gun emplacements and underground tunnels scattered throughout the site.
Accessibility at Fort Siloso
The Fort Siloso Skywalk is fully accessible to wheelchair users and strollers, featuring a lift at the base and a level walkway. However, many parts of the historical fort itself, including the narrow underground tunnels and certain battery observation posts, involve steep stairs and uneven surfaces that are not wheelchair accessible.
The Surrender Chambers exhibition is located on a level area and is accessible. Visitors with limited mobility may find the uphill trek from the Siloso Point bus stop challenging, but the lift at the Skywalk provides an alternative route to the upper levels of the fort.

Inside / what to see at Fort Siloso
The Fort Siloso Skywalk is an 11-storey high elevated bridge that spans 181 metres. It provides a scenic route into the fort with panoramic views of the Singapore harbour and the surrounding islands.
The Surrender Chambers contain waxwork figures and multimedia displays depicting the two historical surrenders that took place in Singapore during World War II. The exhibition covers the British surrender to the Japanese in 1942 and the subsequent Japanese surrender to the Allied Forces in 1945.
Visitors can view a variety of coastal artillery, including the massive 9.2-inch guns and 6-inch guns. These batteries are positioned in their original locations to show how the fort was designed to defend Singapore’s western waters.
The tunnels and magazines located beneath the gun batteries are open to the public. These areas were used for ammunition storage and soldier transit, and now contain displays illustrating the daily lives of the troops stationed at the fort.
The Film Room and various indoor galleries provide archival footage and photographs. These exhibits detail the construction of the fort in the late 19th century and its role during the Konfrontasi period in the 1960s.
The fort is one of several attractions in Singapore that look at the World War II experience. Others include the Former Ford Factory, the Battlebox and the Changi Museum and Chapel.
