What to see and do at the Kawarau Bridge Bungy

The 43-metre bungy jump from the Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge is the main activity. Jumpers can choose to jump solo or in tandem (subject to weight limits), facing forwards or backwards. A water touch option – where the jumper dips briefly into the Kawarau River – is available on request, but is not guaranteed and depends on river levels on the day.

The Kawarau Zipride is an alternative activity at the same site, offering a lower-adrenaline experience along a zipline above the river gorge. It is suitable for a wider range of visitors, including families.

The Kawarau Swing is a third activity available on-site, involving a giant pendulum-style swing over the gorge.

The spectator viewing deck is free to access and offers a direct view of all jumps and ziprides. It is a practical option for those travelling with non-participants.

The Bungy Café and Liquid Courage bar are on-site. Visitors can eat and drink while watching activity on the bridge. A souvenir shop (the Bungy Shop) is also available on-site.
